M-Sport Package (No Black High Gloss Interior Trim?)
Has anyone in the US tried to order the M-Sport Package with Black High Gloss trim?
The configurator won't allow it. Is BMWNA actually going to be this stupid and not allow someone who wants the M-Sport package to get that interior trim? What could possibly be the purpose of that decision??!?!? |

No, on the configurator if you select the M-Sport pack and try to add High Gloss Black interior trim, it says you must deselect M-Sport package.

I was able to get that configuration on mine, Mine was ED, I'm guessing that is the reason why this was possible.

Ok, let's! M Sport Package (ZMP) in the US was not available until model year 09. In fact it was not even available to early 09 models.
Back on topic, the dealer ordering guide shows the following notes for ZMP: "381 must be ordered with ZMP" "4AT cannot be ordered with ZMP" For those not fluent in production codes 381=LeMans Blue, 4AT=High Gloss Black Trim. Believe me, I wanted it also. My spec was LeMans, Savannah, Gloss Black. I had to change to the Grey Poplar, but maybe I will swap once I get it. |
