lam, which evo can you get for 10k less? i think the only evo i'd compare with the 135i is the MR, because then you are buying something that has at least some genuinely superior technology.

well my friend told me that the EVO X MR will retail for about 69k, he said I will not pay more than $72k for it on road. He is the General Manager for the dealer. So that would be close to $10k difference if you went for a 135i with a couple of options.

which options though lam? does the aussie MR come with or without the technology package (with sat nav, 30gb hard drive, and so on)? also, doesn't the evo have something like the bmw comfort access system? i saw a tv show on this but can't remember now what else it had.

in that case lam, the 10k price difference makes this a very tempting purchase. btw, did you fiddle around with the black MR at the motor show? the build quality did not look appallingly bad to me. what sort of wait would you be looking at for one though?

I wasn't able to make it to the motor show this year, but have been told by a few that the interior looks much better built than the previous model.
The waiting period will be around 3 months i have been told. He told me that they have over 100 deposits already. |

Thanks for the welcome. I've now added a signature that hopefully lists my specs. I've not gone for white tho

Buying an Evo is not about the interior anyway. Its about the driving experience. I had an Evo VIII MR and sure it looked tacky inside, but that soon disappears when you hit the accelerator and hear the turbo whine. Take it around curvy roads and its awesome. Amount of grip is amazing and body roll?! can't feel it because of the excellent Alcantra Recaros. Best seats on a production car ever.
72k for the evo x, that is what I thought. Pretty pricy. Plus the MR only comes with the DSG box, not too strong if you plan to mod the thing for power. I'd said go with the Manual, it is 59990 plus on roads. You should be able to get it cheaper I guess, maybe 62k. Only thing you will be missing is leather and Nav, thats almost a good 15 to 20k diff. Good luck with what you choose, I like them both. Choose white for whichever car you decide on, looks the best especially with gun metalic wheels |

4wd turbos are only good for two types of people:
1. Those that want to mod them to hell and go in the dutton rally etc 2. Those who can't drive rwd cars are a much more rewarding drive. |

LOL C63 costs a kidney , arm and leg. Its actually very spacious at the back, leg room is plenty. But yes would love a C63. Can wait to see the new Merc E class AMG. Classics but I wish they make a better gear box or even offer a manual version

the Audi B5 S4 was 4wd/awd turbo and a wonderful car. all im sayin is spdrcr u make a big generalisation with such a comment.
I think the evo x is a top car but it lacks comfort and another thing cops love to give (young) evo/sti drivers a hard time. |

Prior to the Z4 I had an STi with some work done to it. Sure it was fast but I would hardly call it a driver's car. If YOU really want to drive the car, rwd is where it is at.
