What do you guys think
about these wheels for a dedicated track wheel with some 245 NT-01s or star specs? Think I'll have rubbing issues?

That is a Gorgeous wheel but at 9" and the size of tire you want to run, I think you will be VERY close to rubbing up front.
Still a GORGEOUS wheel.

I don't mind running a spacer if I need to...i'm more worried about rubbing on the fender than the strut.

they're 20lbs ....they make an 18x8 too that's only 18.2lbs.
I really was thinking of picking up another set of forgestars, but was hoping to save a few hundred bucks if possibly. Ideally i'll find something used.

Why do you want to run 18s for track?
My old TR motorsport wheels were, light strong, inexpensive and not to mention tires is significantly cheaper as well. There are a lot of choices in 17 x 8.5 et40 which is a proven size for square size tires. |

yeah but you can get by with 17" too. more economical. which means more track time

I want 18's b/c of some things I have in the works and I'm afraid with 17's I won't be able to clear. Plus from the few race teams I spoke with over the weekend, they all said go with 18's b/c I'll have a bigger selection of tires. All the race teams run 18's so tire manufacturers make the most tires sizes there.
I'd hate to get a 17" setup and then have to get an 18" setup within the year. Just might as well do it one and have it done right.

OK cool, but FYI most teams probably run 285/30 18 which is a very common size but there is no way of fitting that on our 1ers without wide body up front. But if it is brake clearance then it is understandable. Sometimes it is just easier to be safe rather than pay 2x. |
