"Ultimate Driving Experience" - test an E90 aganist A4 and G35!

To anyone who is wondering how the E90 really stacks up against the A4 and G35, see if you can get into one of these events! I'm gonna try to get into one of the Florida events. Saw this elsewhere, thanks to the original poster (sweetbimmer):

I got an invitation to attend "The Ultimate Driving Experience" which is taught by professional instructors. When I got there I couldn't believe how many people were there. They had about 25 silver 330i's and they even replaced the tires after every event. They will be going all over the US so I have enclosed some future dates for those who may be interested. If you can go I highly recommend it. They had Audi A4's and Infiniti G35's for us to compare to. Even though the stats between these cars was similar, the 330 far exceeds them after driving all of them. They told us we could go as fast as we wanted to. The track wasnt the biggest, but it was good enough. The 330i handled like a dream and hugged the road like you couldn't imagine.
Here is a little more info for those who may be interested.
Like I said if you can go, do it!!!!!

Slide behind the wheel of the all-new BMW 3 Series and put it through its paces on the Performance Driving Course. Feel the exhilaration of the 3 Series’ responsive inline six-cylinder engine, its crisp, nimble handling in slaloms, straight-aways, and the tightest turns. Under the expert guidance of our professional drivers, you will learn advanced driving techniques that will help you get the maximum performance and pleasure from your own Ultimate Driving Machine® Compliments of BMW.

Btw, this looks a lot like the extensive test drive in the link below, only with this new event they give you an A4 and G35 to compare. Looks like BMW has no fear whatsoever of letting you see for yourself which car is best

when a dealer lets you drive there cars as fast as you want then lets you drive the cars rivals, that just shows that bmw is very confadent about there product.
how do you go to one of these things?

Nothing in the North East?! Do you know if there will be more of these later in the summer? Is there a website that has this information?

Thanks!

l4wr3nc3 Ultimate drive is never by invite only, although owners usually do get invites. I have been to 2 of them. 1 I got an invite, the other I just kept tabs on the internet site. Great time. Usually in conjunction with Susan G. Komen so you get lots of stick time if you want it.

Is there a web site that lists all the driving days that the different manufactures have?

Cool! I'm dying to read more impressions of the comparison between the cars. I already have my car so I may not register for this. On the other hand it'd be fun to be able to drive these 3 cars back to back, pedal to the metal

Pig???? The 0-60 in 6.6 sec is for the automatic, they have not yet release the 6speed. The old 1.8t was a pig this new 6cyl is no slouch and handles very well.
I`m cross shopping several cars and let me tell you the A4 beats the E90 on several different fronts the one that i particularly like is the quattro for 36k while the 330Xi will be much more.

The A4 is a bit heavy and it does compromise handling because of it but more than makes up for that with it`s great interior and fit and finish.

They are both nice buggeys though

I didn't mean the audi's not a nice ride, but it's a front wheel drive based system and it's a nose heavy car, it's going to understeer/plow way more than the other 2 options. From a driving enjoyment factor the only way the audi's better is if you LOVE understeer. the 04 S4 I test drove couldn't match the driving pleasure of my E36 M3, not that it was a bad car, just not as fun to drive

Smile

I was at the event today also, unfortunately I'm 20 years old and they didnt let me participate in the main event, so I was stuck in the student "safe driving course", the 330i performed like a dream in the crash avoidance and braking sections, dsc is just incredible keeps the car pointing exactly where you want it to go. Even though i purposely tried to make it lose its shape during full braking while cornering at 40mph . I currently drive an '03 base cadillac CTS with aftermarket suspension and the feeling around corners is superior in the 330i, although a test with only TC on would have been more comparative since my car doesnt have a stability program. I'm in love with the 330 cant wait till mine gets here in about a month :rocks: , finished production 6/8/05.

You must call the number during the weekdays.

Anyway, I also went to the event this weekend in Arcadia, CA. It was a BLAST!!! Plus, I had tons of fun driving the Susan G Komen cars.

I wonder if I talked to anyone that is from this board.
