08 135i Angel Eye Coding Question

Ive searched both here and e90 as well as google and have tried various methods to recode the Angel Eye brightness to no success. Has anyone done this and has the particular lines that need to be coded and changed to allow for full brightness all the time and a slight voltage increase?

If I remember right, and I think I am right, the Carly app has several options built in. But I know that's not what you're using. Maybe an option if you decide on a different route.

Speaking of which, what are you using to do the coding?

I know you're not using it, but these are angel eye items Carly will code- just for reference, stuff to look for. I used these to brighten mine up, made a big difference. Still a bit yellow in color, but way brighter and much better looking.

These are all in FRM.

Use angel eyes as daytime running lights. To activate this function, set ‘Daytime running lights’ to ‘active’ and ‘Daytime running lights – customization’ to ‘Only additional lights’. If you want to increase the brightness, please use ’Daytime running lights – angel eyes brightness’. This coding is only available for cars with an FRM2 or FRM3. These FRM versions started to be installed after ca. 06/2007 in the 1 series (E8x). (codable in FRM)

Is carly specific only to 1 car, like would someone who has the app be able to code the headlights for me without me purchasing it? It appears that it is varied when it comes to what lines to change/code in NCS

Yes, Carly will work on different cars/VINs. I've used mine on both my 135 and The Wife's X1 with no trouble.

In NCS they are referred to as 'corona' IIRC.
If you use NCS Dummy it's easier IMO.

Do you happen to know the exact lines that need to be changed to get them to stay at full brightness?

I opened this thread a while back and have since installed GP Thunder bulbs and would like to adjust the brightness a little higher.

Does anyone have the exact lines of code to change for an 08 135i?

Was just playing with this the other day- was quick to pull the list since I just did it...

I set brightness to High instead of Very High cause I read someplace that they may burn out quicker at higher voltages. Dunno, but one notch from full made me feel better.... lolz

Thats awesome! I was having a ton of issues getting the coding right in NCSExpert...this seems to be much easier. I think I may change it in Carly and then pull the long coding in NCS so that I can post exactly what needs to be changed in that for those that dont have access to Carly. Thanks!
