Love driving the 1er in the snow with square snow setup!
I don't really drive my 1er much in the winter, but I drove on Tuesday mid-day during the peak of the snow here in Boston, when no streets had been plowed yet, on Michelin X-Ice's 225 square setup, and after a few blocks, I turned off DSC!
I love driving this car with snows on it, it's so much easier to have a good time sliding the around on the streets at low speed. Adding snow to the streets was even better! Yet never did i get the feeling it'd get stuck, even going up big hills that hadn't been plowed. Does anyone else feel the same about driving on winters? This is making me want a square setup for next season's autox/racing.

yesterday, at my son's hockey game, the huge parking lot had a sheet of ice & snow everywhere, and an area with a lonely light pole and not a car in sight. I told my son: "i pay money to drive around a wet skidpad, this is a snow/ice skidpad for free!" Then proceeded to drift around that pole for several laps, got in a few nice drifts and some spin outs. Fun stuff. Oh yeah, and my kids team won their game.
