**official 818/805 Caravan To Bimmerfest 2013**

Bimmerfest 2013 is a little over a month away and there wasn't any caravans in the making for our area. The two previous guys who did it, Zuckuss and MalibuMafia aren't doing it this time, so I'm going to step up and make this work

Everything will basically be the same. Same meeting place, same scheduling.

Where: 4754 Commons Way Calabasas, CA 91302-3363

This is the same spot we met last year. Worked great, access to the freeway was easy, plenty of parking with no hassles. Vons is right in the complex so you can grabs food or whatever you guys need before we depart.

When: Saturday, May 18 2013. We will meet from 7:00-7:45 A.M. We will depart at 8:00 A.M. Bimmerfest gates open at 9:00 A.M. It take about a hour to get there from Calabasas. So please try to be on time, we want to arrive at the show in a timely manner.

Post up if you plan on attending! This is a really awesome part of the event! Please remember to obey the speed limits and don't do anything stupid. CHP will be monitoring the highways like always, they know of the annual event. We will also try to organize a merge with the Bay area caravan coming down the 101, to make the Caravan ever better.

Also, I spoke to MalibuMafia and he is going to try to work in some Law Enforcement friends to help keep the streets clear for us as we depart. With that being said just remember:

BE SMART AND RESPECTFUL
NO BURN OUTS
NO LOUD ENGINE REVING
NO LOUD MUSIC
NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
THERE WILL BE POLICE AROUND AND ITS EARLY IN THE MORNING SO IT WOULD BE COURTESY TO BE GOOD TO THE SURROUNDING AREA AND SHOPPING CENTER

We will be taking the 101 to the 134 to the 210 to Rose Bowl Dr.

do we pre pay registration, or do you just pay when you get there?

You pay at the gate, 20$ per car for bimmerfest. The caravan is free with the expense of gas :P

Alright everyone, with less than two weeks until Bimmerfest, I thought I'll just throw an update for everyone. As of right now, theres approximately 30+ confirmed cars just from forums. These are not including people via word of mouth etc. Again, to emphasize, please follow the rules. If anything bad were to happen, its only because carelessness happened. Be safe, be careful. Please be on time, show up as early as possible. I will be there at 7 am sharp and expect the group to leave at 8:15 sharp. Coming early is fun, you can talk, plan out later events, and see all the other cars....call it Bimmerfest Pre Show.

Per request by several, we could and probably will be using walkie talkies to communicate. Just simple motorola hand helds or similar brands will be good. Channel will be decided later closer to event date.

Every year I have went, this caravan ends up thinning out because people take different directions to the Rose Bowl. The route I am posting is what I believe is the best route because it has limited traffic lights and turns. Also, Seco St. is about 5 lanes wide so there's plenty of wiggle room. Its a fairly simple route. From our departure point, you take the 101 S > 134 E > 210 W >Exit Mountain St. >Left Onto Seco St. > Bimmerfest.

Thats literally 5 turns so its very simplistic.

Some reminders as well... to not cast a bad image upon BMW drivers, unlike last years caravan, please refrain from cruising on the free way at 50 mph with your hazards on...It congests the freeway...what are you guys? Prius drivers? Stay the legal 65-70 mph and we will have a good time and so will the other drivers on the roads.
