I noticed a difference with just the $88 rear window shade. Also cuts down on headlight glare from behind at night. Worth it in my mind.

Nothing for the front seat side windows? Doesn't it defete the purpose if two of the largest windows are unscrened?

The screens would be impractical on these windows, but it appears to me they have a tint already. The overall temperature inside is way lower than without the rear screen shades and a windshield shade even if the door windows don't have an aftermarket tint (which is always an option, of course).

I received my rear sunscreens from Tischer on Friday. I am amazed how much they help to reduce the heat.

I also ordered the front sunshade through Amazon without the BMW badge. It is CoverCraft part # UV11066.

You know what I really need? A larger sunvisor. The sun keep sneaking in between the 7:00 and 8:00 position, aimed right at the back of my neck. These sunshades help, but it's not enough.

Had any one had the interior picture of the shade? How difficult was the installation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The interior of the shade looks the same as the exterior. Installation is as difficult as sitting down and fastening your seat belt.

I did not know these existed. I got them now and they are great as others have mentioned. I got all of them from my local BMW dealer for $168.69 (with a 15% BMWCCA discount) plus tax.

After installing the rear and side sunshades this spring, I love them, but the one big negative I've found is I'm having more trouble identifying potential police in my rear view mirror.

As a frequent speeder, I'm very vigilant about scanning the landscape both fore and aft when cruising at 10+ mph over the flow of traffic. When I spot a car in the left lane way behind me, I have more trouble identifying it and either ruling it out, or slowing down if I think it's a cop.

Since I don't have the same problem with the rear tinted window in our family SUV, it must be something about the little holes in the sunscreen. I've never had aftermarket tint -- not sure if the same problem would occur with a heavy/dark tint on the rear window.

I just purchased a new 128i, Mineral Gray, 6 speed manual with the M Sport Package, roof, heated seats ... that's about it. I found the rear side window shades from GetBMWParts.com, and was able to order the BMW rear sunshade from Todd at Performance BMW in Chapel Hill. As of a week or two ago, the warehouse had approximately 70 of the rear 1 series sunshades available - pn 51 46 0 432 844.

As has been mentioned in this thread, both the side and rear sunshades fit perfectly and look great. Very low key appearance. Well worth the money.

Old thread but still something worthwhile.

Anyone know if it will fit the convertible rear window? I know the rear window is smaller but it still may fit when overlapping (?)
