M3 rear bushings--installation costs?

Looking for real world experience on what it costs, parts and labor, to install M3 rear bushings.

TIA.

I just asked my German dealer last week about this. The 1M(same as M3) bushings cost 39 euros each. There are two for the front half of the rear axle and two for the rear part. two different part numners fro front and rear! So 4 x 39 euros = 156 euros in parts

My dealer charges 120 euros per hour. Thats the norm over here. They told me the job will cost 340 euros for the installation. So 496 euros total. Thats about 700 in USd at today exchange rates. I thought that was a fair quote.

Btw... they will (most likely) gove me 20% off those parts prices and a little bit off the labor. I will hot them up in the winter (service) months. I think US dealers would also charge about the same.

I would also do a four wheel alignment afterwards. Even though BMW says one is not needed. I would have one done.

Hmm. Very pricey indeed. So much easier on my Miata...

As an alternative you can DYI the Powerflex bushing inserts. I've read very good reviews on this.

Apparently the big problem is not the bushing material per se. Rather the gaps are what cause the problems.
