Dealer applied flash killed throttle response in my MT
Ive read about this often in regard to the DCT transmissions, but what about the MTs? My '11 135i MSport MT was dealer flashed back at the end of 2013 with a 'mandatory update' and as result, my throttle response was very degraded, and has been since then. Sitting at idle, blip the throttle, and you dont see the needle move for nearly a half a second. I showed the srvc mgr back then, had him sit in the car and peg the throttle, and he says, 'oh, theyre all like this'.. Big Help! I know the PPK flash seems to cure this scenario with the DCT cars, but my question is, does it also fix it for the Manual Tranny cars?

Wow, im starting to hate newer cars. "mandatory" updates that ruin the response of the car.

Aftermarket tune like the ones BPC offer can help re-map the throttle maps and improve response like you had before.
I'd suggest you reach out with Bob. |

Not sure if the N55 unit and software can do this, but the N54 JB4 also provides throttle sensitivity tuning through a range of values. If still under warranty, easy to remove for service visits.
I know I'm hugely biased, but what I would do in your case is run the N55 ppk tune (either flash i yourself or do an e-flash) with a JB4.
