Fusebox doesn't have anything rated lower than 2A?
Hey guys I recently purchased a hardwire pro clip solution to charge my phone.
These are the instructions: http://www.proclipusa.net/instruction.php?sku=513495 It states that I need to hook the red wire up to a 12/24V with an inline 2A fuse. At first I was thinking of using the fuse box and fuse tap but it seems like the lowest current rating is 5? Does that mean none of these will work for my set up? Would appreciate any insight, really have not idea with this! |

It seems like you have a couple options. First, you can just use an existing tap on the fuse box but then you have a current limit that is high enough damage to the phone charger is likely if it shorts. I would normally not worry about that. If the charger pulls enough for this to be an issue it is probably not going to be useful anyway. The other alternative is to use an in-line fuse in the power cord to the phone charger. If you need an in-line fuse holder radio shack should have one. Or you could google up an online source.
