I cant seem to find the e93 oem 28mm to purchase anywhere (only h&r @ 28mm), I can only find the 26.5 oem e93 bar, am i mistaken? thanks. Most people are saying the car still holds only a slight understeer even with this thick front bar only?

The e92 M3 front sway bar is 26.5mm. You need the e93 M3 front sway. According to realoem.com you need these part numbers:
28mm Sway Bar: 31352283965 Stabilizer Support: 31352283037 (2 ea) Top Support Bushing: 31352283968 (2 ea) Bottom Support Bushing: 31352283967 (2 ea) Here is the realoem.com page reference: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...04&hg=31&fg=10 Just order from United BMW or Tischer BMW with those part numbers. |

Here are some pictures for you. I know it isn't a true apples to apples comparison, but trust me I was still gripping hard even on a damp course in that second pic. The first pic is street tires and a stock sway bar. The second pic is on r-comps with the 32 mm hotchkis sway bar. The body roll was greatly reduced, even though the car was gripping more (even on the damp track.)
Of course the E93 front sway isn't as stiff as the hotchkis, but it should be close given the stock bar has that 19 mm kink in it. |

I know... I know. Unfortunately security deposits, furniture and random household items take precedence over car parts right now.

the c-clamp made the job easier. pressing the bushings into the bracket to lock in place wasn't easy for me with just my hands. i used some mobil 1 synthetic grease.

Did this install about two hours ago. Wow. Bigggg difference. Very little body roll. It's much tighter now. We didn't have time to install the control arms. Took us 45 minutes to take the undercarriage off, debate on the bushings fitting or not, and popping everything back in. Used Jack stands for the front and wood blocks in back.
Anyone do this sway with the control arms too? Is it worth doing the rear bar too for a 128? I understand power/LSD traction situation might be counterproductive for a 135. |

I wasn't sold on this mod before doing it but I am now. Simply much better in many ways. Funny thing is you can see the kink in the old bar from across the garage, but from far away you think how is this going to make it that much better? Then you pick up the new one up close and first you are shocked how heavy it is and then how ridiculously beefy it is in comparison. This was the reaction of all of us on comparing both bars |

I installed the M3 e93 bar a week ago and I can say it definitely makes a noticeable difference. The front feels much flatter during moderate speed cornering and even at highway speeds, I notice less body roll and I get a sense that I have to steer a bit less to go through curves. The downside is that it really doesn't add any extra sense of 'grip' and I notice the soft springs/dampers even more than before. Making quick transitions is actually a bit unnerving. The springs compress, but then the stiffer bar seems to 'catch' the roll and stop it, but the whole experience doesn't feel balanced. I guess that is the issue in a nutshell, adding the stiffer bar has unbalanced the ride slightly. Which means... more mods. So much for the bank account. I'm thinking BMW PS or maybe KW Street Comforts. Anyone want to chime in about the latter? Everyone seems to go for the V1 or V2's but the Street Comforts actually have stiffer springs than the V2's and they are linear, rather than progressive, so the handling should be more predictable. I even read a post where the much vaunted Orb said this was the best out of the box setup for KW's.

That sounds like a case of too stiff front bar for stock suspension
