NYC Meet?

and just out of curiosity, how are we going from the park to the restaurant..etc? Parking is a problem in the city right? and did anyone pick out a place to go eat... Just wondering

From what I believe and others correct me if I'm wrong but were going to meet in Liberty State Park(statue of liberty). Then go to JC(jersey city) and park in a garage and take the PATH(train from NJ to NYC). From there I'm not sure......anyone?

This is correct, with the option to drive in and park in Times Sq right out of the tunnel (usually around $16 to park all night) You park your own car, no attendant.

We do need a list of people going

Did anyone park their car in the garage by the path before? How safe is it? Municipal or private parking?

Anyone just going to the meet in NJ and leaving after that?

You can park in the Newport Mall Parking garage. Its safe and right across the street from the PATH station.

BTW...I live right across from the mall. Also, there is a police station 2 blocks away.

I was also thinking some can park in NJ by the PATH and some can car-pool in that way only 1 car is paid for to park in NYC.

Those people can then take the PATH back to get their cars later, just another possibility.

We could do that. There is a deck right on 42nd street, as soon as you come out of the Lincoln Tunnel. I have used it many times;;never had any problems. Of course, I was parking my older & junkier cars there.....

About a restaurant, I think Carmine's, which is a relatively well-known Italian place for large groups of people, would be a great place to go for eats. Its in the theater district.....really great Italian food @ a reasonable price.

So we not gonna do much while we are with our E90s? Just drive to NJ, park the car and take the path?
