It's interesting that the SSTT increases the low-down performance whilst the Evolve reduces it. When I'm in a "lazy drive" mood I like the fact the car has plenty of oomph even under 2000 revs, and I'm not sure I'd want to sacrifice that, so I reckon I'd probably prefer the SSTT regardless of price.

Just what I was thinking IanM.

SSTT is ideal for lugging the car around effortlessly in town traffic.

Why do you say that the Evolve map reduces low down performance - both power and torque are increased across the rev range..... there is no reduction. If you're comparing the graphs, don't forget the scales are different - the Evolve y axis goes higher.

I was just looking at the second graph alone, which appears to show that the Evolve tune produces less power and torque than stock below about 2250 revs. Unless I'm reading it wrong, which is more than likely!

You're reading it wrong :-) There is no indication, and no reason why, that would happen. Of course, my real world experience also concurs

Got to admit it, the Evolve map is more responsive than the SSTT in every gear. I took a while to adapt as driving home after the tune made no difference that I could notice. Now though it's a very different story.
