Procede settings for track day.

Planning on running in a DE event this season.

Currently I run v5 stage 3 aggressive maps with FBO (equipped with LSD, fmic, 2 oil coolers and PWR Alum. rad.)

The car is rather quick in its current state and I would like to dial it back for the track day to be easier on the turbos (and lets face it, my experience).

What would you reccomend? If there is a "stock" map, how will my car run with FBO? Will i go into Limp or throw a check engine light due to the no cats and etc? Should i just take one of my on-the-fly maps and make it less aggressive myself?

Thanks in advance guys.

You should drive on the track with stock tune. I just blew my water pump running with Cobb sport map a few days ago. There is my thread about it.

I just replaced my waterpump so i would hope that area of concern is void.

I thought Map 0 was valet. I need to check my procede PDF.

Map 0 is valet mode, which is stock mode!

From the user manual:

Default Map Information
● Map 0 - Valet Mode
○ Stock Map, no PROcede involvement. (Stock-like ECU function)
● Map 1 - Primary Autotuning map.
○ Begins with UT and IC values of 13.5 and 50%, respectively.
○ Autotuning on by default
● Map 2 - Secondary Autotuning map.
○ Begins with UT and IC values of 14.5psi and 50%, respectively.
○ Autotuning on by default
● Map 3 - NA Mode (Naturally Aspirated)
○ Locks wastegate(s) open to essentially remove the turbos, the n54/
n55 produces approximately 170bhp in this mode. Exhaust note will be
deeper and louder.
○ The MPG reading on the dashboard/iDrive/radio is inaccurate in NA
mode since the fuel pressure and DME perceived boost are remaped.
For example, on a 1hr cruise (light throttle), the car computer indicated
27mpg. Actual was 32mpg.
● Map 4 - Progressive Methanol map
○ When meth flow is within window, the PROcede will morph into Map 2’s
values and also revert to map 1 values upon lack of meth flow.
● Map 5 - Nitrous
○ TBA

Yeah I looked that up when I was at an actual computer. Figured valet mode had some sort of limiter for parking lot driving (where is my brain?). I will drive around in map 0 to see if it throws any codes but I also may set up map 1 with lower boost targets and maybe less aggressive timing (scared) simply because to would be nice to still have the hard rev limit and shift light at the track.

Any input?
