Visor stickers
If I pull those nasty stickers off of the visor what should I use to remove any sticky substance from the visor. I certainly do not want to damage the visor or discolor it in any way.

Goo Gone and rubbing alcohol. You could try a little bit in the corner before you wipe it all over the visors but I have never had issues using any of those things to remove stickers. A heatgun will help take the stickers off without damaging the visor.

Thanks. I will work with those items. Also I like the idea of heat but I will use a hair dryer.

Read somewhere that a guy soaked a paper towel with acetone, placed it on the sticker and then wrapped it with ceran wrap and let it sit for a while. Then it just wiped off. Do this at your own risk though.

I always figured that whatever would remove the sticker would probably also damage the visor itself. If you do this successfully do please report back with what you used and if it did anything you weren't hoping to have happen.

There are a bunch of threads on this topic, using various products, with varying success, as well as a few folks that have damaged their visors.
The other day I just noticed DSCPLN's modification list in his signature says: "Overhead Airbag Warning Stickers Flawlessly Removed - Acetone + Leather Conditioner" Most folks seem to do this when the car is new. My question is whether anyone has had luck doing this do an older car (i.e. I have a MY 2009). Not sure what kind of impact the age of the visor has... I also thought you could get visors from other markets without the airbag sticker if you went to a euro part dealer (i.e. not from your local dealer, but mail order like http://www.schmiedmann.com/, etc) |

I took off the sticker on my old Benz. Left a nasty rectangle mark. I would personally leave it, I find a rectangle clean spot on my visor a bigger eye sore than an airbag sticker. But since the 1-ers are so new, you might not have any issues.
