Detailing Kits !

Hey guys, so just got my 135i, had to take a 6hour drive home, and now I want it looking like it did before it was on the road. I've been researching tons of procedures, kits, everything. I would like some input on a "kit" I can put together (wax, sealant, clay bar, wash, cloths, applicators) for no more than 115 or so bucks. Want to have this thing prepped for the winter, and right now is the best time for me. Give me what you guys prefer, and where I can get it. I truly appreciate it guys.

P.S. Was going to order Zaino 89.99 detailing kit if anyone would recommend it.

You could probably get everything you need from chemical guys for around that price point. They sell kits but you may be better off just piecing together what you want exactly.

I agree. Piecing together the "kit" would be better than buying a preconfigured kit from a particular manufacturer. Rather than asking members to do the work for you, you may want to reach out to a sponsor like Detailer's Domain and have them put a package together for you.

Yeah, thats what I was attempting at first, but didn't reach out to a sponsor yet; thanks for the advice.

Wookie Fist & Dodo Juice

I use a line of products by Dodo Juice.

Supernatural car wash
Lime Prime lite
Purple Haze carnauba wax (I have black Sapphire paint)
Wookie Fist sheep shearling wash mit

Stuff is all natural. No solvents or scent. Expensive & hand made.

My problem with purple haze is that it lasts for two weeks before dissolving.
Collinite (805 or 476s) or menzerna powerlock stand the test of time for me even during upstate NY harsh and salty winters.

Black Magic or Meguiars Car Wash or any of dozens of others.
Meguiars Micro Fiber Wash Mitt, very soft!
3M Ultra Fine Polish in light blue can.
Any wax or sealant of hundreds hawked!

Also don't forget the Absorber to dry the car off. Does a great job and is kind to the clear coat!

Seriously Segments, join a detailing forum and get involved.

Here in the UK

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php

is the go to industry standard. On there you will discover more tips tricks and advice that you can handle.

Also there are a lot of retailers that offer numerous offers and discounts for the members of the forum.

If you cant save money on such a forum then I would be amazed.

Regards

PyRo
