This over P3 Vent Gauge?

http://www.insideperformance.de/onli...roducts_id/223

I just came across this - I haven't seen anything about it, install pics, nothing. Is it to new? Has anyone heard of this thing? Seems pretty cool. If it works as intended then I feel this would be WAY cooler than the P3 vent gauge. Thoughts, ideas?

That looks amazing.

I doubt this new vent will be in the same price range as a p3 vent.

EDIT: I just noticed the price at 549 euros or $749usd. It's about double what I payed for the latest p3 vent. It does seem like it is worth the price increase though

A lot easier to see then my P3, but I like my center vents, they are much more useful then the sides.

The P3 gauge works perfectly, retains the function of the air vent, looks 100% OEM and costs half of what this gauge does.

I don't see any reason why anyone would buy this over the P3 gauge.

It displays your torque - coolant temps - oil temps - speed - stores and shows acceleration data (0-60 times, etc) - and is a boost gauge on top of a few other things.

You lose a vent? Sure. But personally - BMW's heat and stuff is so good, I keep my heat blowing on my feet at about 70 degree's because anything more than that and I start to get WAY to hot.

Some people also didn't like the idea that the P3 gauge was on the left hand side and that it was smaller and harder to see. Also, some people really enjoy being able to show off some cool little bits like this.. and with the P3 gauge, no one can see it but you. lol

I love my P3 vent - dont get me wrong, but this new vent has a ton of more features. i love how subtle the p3 is, but shuffling through the features is a bit slow. This new one has a lot more information on screen and a better interface. I wont be selling my p3 to get one or anything but i would to see an actual review of it.

That is the pc/vent that Mannhart GmbH uses. It starts at around 700 euros and ends around 1,000 euros (I believe).

The current P3 V2 gauge, which has been out for a couple years now has all of the features you mentioned, plus more. The only thing it doesn't measure is torque, but it measures other things which you have not mentioned as well providing the feature of reading and deleting codes.

If you don't like that the P3 gauge is on the left hand side they also make one for the right hand side for the RHD market. For the same money (probably even less) as this one gauge alone I'm sure you could have two P3 gauges for each side of the car, one for you and one for your passenger to look at. Also you retain all of your AC vents.

I emailed then looks like they don't offer this at the moment in mph or psi for boost. They said there are no plans at the moment to make the metric conversion but maybe in the future. More should email them to get them to do this. Great unit but want it in the right metrics..

I wonder what it's coded with.. I'm sure someone could alter it and reflash it pretty easy for the conversion.

Yes- the p3 has many of the same features. I have the latest p3 and it is a great product.

The p3 has the data, but scrubbing through the information is very slow and it can only display one reading at a time. This new gauge, has a ton more on screen data and a much better interface. It looks like a much superior product which is reflected in its price I crease over a p3. We won't know until someone gets one and does an actual review.

Anyone notice Turner now has an "exclusive" version of the P3:
www.turnermotorsport.com/t-p3-vent-gauge.aspx

In addition to their name on the face, their version adds 0-100mph, 100mph-0 and 60mph-0 measurements.

I wish I had that, would be great way to test out the braking power from my BBK.
