Nice! You see what I mean by finding that fine line misery and recovery.

Latest normalized results...

Here is the updated plot of results. From the looks of it, the class winners did well, as most of us dropped back a little from last event.

You should get bonus points just for figuring it out. It is not the most elegant solution for reconciling our overall performance, but oh well...

Its a percent difference from your class leader!!! so if your class winner got around the loop in 100 seconds and you did it in 105 seconds it would show up in the graph as 5% right?

Close...

It is the % difference from the average of the AS, BS, CS, DS, and ES class leaders for that event. Think of it as an average best time of the day for BMW's on street tires. (this is shown in the "average best" line). So you are not referenced to your class alone; the broader average probably smooths out some of the noise that would otherwise be present.

To get the value on the plot, take your average (best AM and PM average) and subtract the "average best" for that event. Then divide by the "average best" and multiple by 100 to get a percent... and BAM... you got your number.

# on plot = ([Your average] - [average best])/[average best]*100

Hope this helps.

I can suck all on my own, thank you very much! I don't need and_1's help.

Miserable day (score-wise) for me.. Hit cones on all runs except one. I still had a blast though. Mother Nature gave us a nice break too!

A good start to a better day for event 5 would have been about 18 fewer cones on the day and about the same number fewer beers the day before. As for event 6, that 8+% delta took 2nd place in class A.
