Ordered from Scheidemann 2 weeks ago as they promised to ship within 6 business days. Also charged me extra shipping after I paid, asking for my money back and ordering a set from ECS Tuning...

That could be. When I was ready to buy they were "moving to a different facility" so I gave them the benefit of the doubt but I just went else where after weeks of no reply. I also recommend that IF you buy a used set from anyone make sure they package it VERY securely! I think I went with 3 different sets of used lights because they arrived to me cracked.

I got mine from ECS earlier this year. Cost more but their CS has been excellent and I'll continue to give them my business. Be sure to keep all the packaging. I reused it when I resold my stock LCIs and they arrived in perfect condition when I shipped 'em.

Arrow which Blacklines to order...

For anyone wanting to order Blacklines with the LED tubes...

You should order the #282 Blackline kit: bmw p/n 63212225282
You get two blackline tail lamps for xenon cars. It also is a PnP for all US spec halogen 128's. Totally PnP for all US spec 135i's.

Also... for those guys who have damaged one of their Blacklines and only need to order ONE tail light... here are the single blackline tail light part numbers:

63217327273 (left tail light)
63217327274 (right tail light)

That's a pretty high price. Does Schneidmann not have them for 360-380ish before shipping?

When I priced it last week it was a $91 difference between schmiedmann and ecs. shipping to you may be a lil different though as I'm in CA.

I think MOST the people on the forum got them there. They just have some weird summer holiday schedule there in July/August which I think you may have recently seen people complaining about, but their site gave warning about it for weeks. I'd prefer to buy from ECS, but I can't justify the extra $91 in my case. Just price 'em out on both sites, see what the difference is in your case.

Can't wait to see 'em on your car! One day I'll get them...just not sure when. Maybe tomorrow, maybe in 6 months.

While there may be issues with shipping, I wouldn't say they're "shady" in the least. You have to remember that they're not based in the US and that getting items here takes a little more effort than what it does ECS who's based in (what I think is) Ohio.

ECS will definitely get them to you faster and you won't have to pay a customs fee like you will with Schneidmann. That being said, if you can wait on it, Schneidmann is a pretty good company in my opinion.

I dunno about that. I got my CSL style trunk and blacklines from Schneidmann in 4 days and no customs fee.

You'll typically get a bill in the mail from the shipment company with the fee. It took about 20 days for me to get mine. It was only fifteen bucks or so but it is what it is. Perhaps they're charging the customs fees in the order now. Dunno.

Yeah, its been over two months. Nothing in the mail yet. Fingers crossed.

I also called the customs office in the state of Washington. They also said I shouldn't be charged any fees if its car parts for personal use (not re-sell).

I ordered my blacklines from Schmiedmann and the process was fast and easy. Total cost, even with my credit card company's 'foreign transaction fee' ($3.86) was $80 less than if I would have bought from ECS. FedEx called and asked me to sign a form and fax it to them. Easy. No extra shipping or customs charges.

If I would have needed to return the order for any reason, obviously the return shipping process would have been more of a hassle and more expensive. That by itself is worth taking into consideration.

If I was to do it all over again I'd probably just go with ECS, even if it cost more.
