paint (in-car) question

Sorry, can't find a good place for this.

I'm planning on painting one or 2 plastic items in the engine bay.
I want to do it body color, BUT with out the gloss., so almost a flat color (not satin)

I'm planning on
Scuffing, wiping down, Plastic adhesion primer, grey primer, then body color
NO clear.

Will this be ok, also the parts aren't subject to massive heat but it is under bonnet, should I do anything else ?

The paint item will be rattle can, (made up for me) not 2k

I did the same to my Saturn Sky. No issues if just plastic covers.
