Installed the Phillips Precious White (5000k) bulbs over the weekend. Ordered them on Tuesday from newegg and they got here (in VA) on Friday. Pretty quick shipping from Korea.

^I love mine! I think unless you just need blinding bright halos, Phillips 5000ks are perfect!

Its worth noting, the bulbs get whiter after they burn in for a couple hours for anyone dissastisfied with the initial install. Mine were a twinge yellow at first and now they are just white.

I'll try to remember next time I'm there. I don't have a garage at my house. I was using my grandparents garage.

I ordered some go-fast parts today and I'll probably install them there so I'll try to remember to get a pic then.

Honestly, If I had to do it again, I might go with a little bluer temp as these are still a bit yellow in the daylight.

Yes, that's the one. Looks like the same seller also. I do think they have 5000K bulbs from PIAA now though, so you might want to get those instead.

Sweet! So this installation won't cause an error to the adaptive, right? Any condensation? Just curious since some people also bought philips bulb, are you able to compare PIAA to Philips by any chance? Thanks man!

I cannot compare them mate, but they are both reputable brands. You cannot go wrong with either. Yes; no errors, since it's just a bulb. Just be careful when putting the covers back on.

I think you might be right. I found the 6000K bulbs, but they were HB and not H8.

What they do have now is called Stratos Blue 5000K, in H8 format:

5000k phillips isnt blue at all. If this is any better than mine remotely, then heck, bulbs are cheap.

I have a set of Philips 5000K Ultimate White H8 for sale if anyone is interested. Bought them, installed them, and decided to stick with what I had. The bulbs were only in for about 15 minutes. $45 OBO + shipping. Note +6 itrader rating.

Is it possible to code out the voltage drop when the headlights come on? I've been driving an X3 loaner and it pisses me off that its headlights and angel eyes are the same color when mine should be too.
