Is it still possible to get European Delivery on a 2013 135i, even though the rest of the world has switched to the new body style? How long will the 2013's be available for ED?

Dealer just told me the price for ED is fixed, and I am calling his BS. Please confirm that I can order a 128i for ED and negotiate the price below MSRP for ED.

If you're doing ED, why bother with a local dealer? Steve Thomas BMW and David will both give you an awesome deal (fixed dollar amount over invoice) on ED cars, and they're both forum sponsors.

Before you contact them, do your build on this website:

http://bmwconfig.com/BmwConfig/Config.aspx

You can save your config to a spreadsheet, then email that to them and get a quote.

When I did ED for my 2011, I negotiated on the price, then got a flat discount (nearly $2K, IIRC) off the bottom line, for doing ED. It was an AMAZING experience - just awesome! You will have a blast!

That sounds like a local dealer policy, not reality. You get a substantial discount on the MSRP with ED, and the dealer makes a lot less profit. That is probably why the dealer will not discount from MSRP for an ED.

Talk to Jack Mcdevitt at BMW of Warwick: 401-304-3208
jmcdevitt@penskeautomotive.com

Jack is great to work with, has lots experience with ED, and will discount from MSRP for an ED.

What can I reasonably expect to pay under MSRP if I place an order as opposed to buying off the lot? I want a manual 128i with M Sport package and Oyster Boston.

I have no less than 10 dealers within a 50 mile radius so there's plenty of competition.

I'd recommend going on truecar.com as you can put in the specs/details/options of the car you want and they'll show you participating dealers in your area and what no haggle price they'll sell you the car for equipped like that.

Note two things though - before they give you the names and numbers, you have to submit contact info and those people may bombard you, BUT, when I ordered mine a few months ago, it was showing roughly $3k off, but when I was contacted by the dealer, he e-mailed me a quote that was almost $5k off. So, they may annoy you with e-mails/calls, but should give you an idea of which dealers are willing to take the most off in your area.

Your other issue may be finding a dealer that has an open spot to place an order at this point, too since there are very few spots left to order a 1 before they shut down production.

Thank you that info. This will be my 12th new car purchase in 15 years, but only the second car I've had to order. With the 128i not really on the hot-car-to-have radar, I'm hoping to save some money.

Any dealers that know the answer to this? I'm interested in the genuine BMW performance brake kit upgrade (34 11 0 44 4766) for the 135is.

Some websites show this kit with the standard solid/smooth rear rotors and some sites show the rear rotors as slotted & dimpled. My local BMW dealer has inquired with BMW regarding which rotors come with this package, but it's been a few days and they have not heard back yet.

Should I assume the rear rotors are standard (and not slotted/dimpled)?

Owen - you might want to contact one of the forum vendors who likely would know such as Jason and Evan at getbmwparts.com. They've been pretty good at giving me good information on different part #s, what the part # is (and isn't) and have great prices, too.

You could also plug that # into realoem.com and see what it shows.

Is there anyway to find out the exact options that a used car was originally purchased with, specifically accessories (i.e. performance exhaust, spoiler, suspension, etc)?

I am a Client Advisor at Passport BMW in Maryland and am trading a 2011 Black/Black 1M coupe with just over 13,000 Miles. I haven't seen the car in person yet as the customer lives out of state but will post pictures when the car arrives. Inbox me for more details if interested. Thanks.
