Just got a 135i
Hi, I just purchased a 2008 135i and really enjoying it. There is 1 strange thing and that is although it is an e82 coupe the compliance plate on it says e87 and so do the rego papers, in fact the rego papers have it down as a hatch back. Has anyone come across this before.
Since I purchased it from a BMW dealership I am going to ask them to rectify the problem, I wonder how receptive to my request they will be. I'm looking forward to getting as much information from this forum as I can and going on some future cruises or catch ups. Cheers. |

My plate says E87 too, and DOT have it down as an E87 Coupe.
It's probably all the same car to them anyway.

My 1M is the same, it's listed as an E87 Coupe. I don't think there's anything you can do about it. What I find to be weird is that my 135i was listed as a E87 Sedan..

I'm pretty sure if you look at the compliance plate on the actual vehicle itself it also doesn't say E82 but something else. Probably E87.
