Yeah, the ketchup thing really sucks, but who gives a flying &*^* what a so called friend, enemy or whatever says. Lets see their BMW, entry level or not and then race them and see what they say after you leave them in the dust.

Glad to hear that the ketchup washed off. If it were to happen again (hope not), try mixing up a nice soapy bucket of car wash mix, and get the affected area good and wet with the mix. Let it sit there a few minutes, five minutes if it is not drying out on you, and then just wash as usual. Should come right off.
I have a "foam gun" that I use to wet down the whole car with the mix before I start washing. It makes washing much easier. Having a couple of coats of your favorite wax/sealant on the car is also a decent defense against such attacks. Bird poop is worse, and eggs are bad news. They are murder to get off, and the shell can mar the paint. |

Its funny because its not true.... The 135i as I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone here is more money than every 3 series except the 335??? At least in Canada it is. |

Very sorry to to hear about the diss. It's disappointing to see resentful reactions to such a well-made machine. Regardless of what you might think of the owner or driver, folks ought to respect the car. I only hope an incident like this doesn't diminish your own enjoyment of your 1.
I said it before, and I say it again - NOT KIDDING - the trusty Dashboard Hula Girl... ...effectively disables incoming jealously before contact with exterior paint can take place. In my experience, spanning three sports coupes, it has a 100% failure-free record. Don't leave home without it.

I quickly hop out the car and try avoid her but that failed! anyway, end of the night i come back to the car with a friend who was a tad bit out of it. now the whole group of the ex's friends were surrounding my car!! talk to them for a few minutes then stand by the drivers door to get in. I notice theres kiss marks all over the front left window!!!! Lip gloss is not fun to clean off a car!!!

LOL its funny how people see the 1 and the 135i and automatically think its the cheapest BMW. The 135i for me is like a mini M or what the 3er should have been before it grow up to be of similar size to the bigger 6er. Plus the 135i is a better performer than the 335i comes standard with brembo brakes (which no other BMW comes with except for 760iL I think which is the most expensive model BTW), comes with E-diff and ///M stuff as standard , its not a cheap BMW , its a small BMW with ///M touches and better pperformance than the the bigger 335i

Lots of bad stories here. The ketchup would have seriously ticked me off – it’s like people think we all just fall backasswards into huge piles of money and our BMWs were just handed to us on a silver platter.
Maybe that’s the case for a few of us, but I think most of us are a lot like me in that we have worked very hard and made a lot of sacrifices to find ourselves in a position to buy a brand new @40k car. I’m convinced the kinds of people that put ketchup on a stranger’s BMW will never know the satisfaction of a job well done or accomplish little more than just getting by. You got ketchup on your car, but their whole life is gonna suck. |

The ketchup can just be washed off.
But the second demands that you immediately challenge him to a duel to the death to avenge the affront to your's and your BMW's honor! |
