1M Die Cast Model?

Guys... the 1:43 scale VO 1M models are selling for > € 150 ~ € 220 (on ebay.de), so I really think Minichamps will charge more than that. I do not see how they will be able to customize the models to order - either. I think(or bet) they will only offer one color with one trim level. Just a guess though.

I have one. Paid about € 60 euros for it at my dealership 2 months ago.

You are VERY lucky then. Just do a search on ebay... you will see. IF you can even find one.

Yes... they sold for 59 euros at the dealers(and at the Welt and Leipzig Werk) two years ago. BMW only had ~2,000 made by a Chinese company. All of them were sold out. Now they fetch upwards of € 200.

Received the 1:43 in VO as a free gift when I picked up my used 1M last week at the BMW dealership. Guess there was enough profit on the car

On a German Forum there's a recent offer for 1:43 1M Model cars: 1M model forum threat on 1erforum

You can chose your body paint color (incl. green Mamba), rim color, shadowline and even your ED plates!

and there's talk of 1:18 model later on...

Porto würde noch oben drauf kommen.

Dein Modell wird Ende Juli fertig sein, dann bekommst Du von mir eine Rechnung, bezahlst diese per Vorkasse und dann schicke ich Dir das Modell zu!

You can not even buy the e82 or e88 models from BMW anymore!! They only sell the F20 and F30 stuff now. Lucky for me I have one of each size (1:87, 1:43, 1:118 of my 135i)!

Small diecast models: "BMW 1M Sports Coupe" is one of the 26 new cars of Mattel's 2013 Matchbox line up. Its 2013 code is MB111. No info re color (orange, we may reasonably guess). Due to be released this year.

The models in @Robin_NL post (above) ARE 1:43 scale. But it looks to be a back room deal. Meaning a worker there who is making these models in his spare time - custom ordered for customers who prepay.

Ok, I have been in contact with 1 Series M Coupe (Max) over on the 1erforum.de He works for Minichamps and is making the models(in his free time). He proposed to me that take the 1Addicts orders and collect the money via paypal. Then I will place the order with Max. He will ship the models to my German haus address and then I can mail them out to the US via my APO. I am not looking to make any money here. Just to provide you guys with the models.

The models cost about 47 euros(plus shipping to my haus in Germany) plus a few euros extra for each option you wish to have. I will have to find out how much it will cost me to mail each model out as well. It should not be more than $35, I would think(to US/Canada). But I have to check.

The mods he can do are:

rim colors: silver, black or gunmetal
window frames: chrome or shadow line
side turn signals: chrome or shadow (on fender)
BMW front air intake grills: chrome trim or shadow trim
Individual license plates, but I would need a photo (I am checking IF he can do US style plates. ???)
mirror: either body color or carbon fiber(CF)
rear spoiler: either carbon fiber or just black or in body color,

So... what do you guys think? I also have to find out the time frame. But I think deliveries will be in a few months. I am waiting to hear back. I believe Max is doing this in his free time - so it will take some time. The 1erforum guys are going nuts placing their orders.

Another UPDATE...

I have been talking with 1 Series M Coupe about how this is gonna work for us 1Addicts. Once you guys decide on your model, with options and you send me the money - I will forward your order to him.

The finished model will be shipped out my German house around August of this year. So far he has 50 model orders as of today.

1 Series M Coupe can also do non standard colors too. But that costs an extra 135 EUR + the model cost and options. Here is what he wrote to me...

..."I can do any color you want, but I would need to know the name of the paint, e.g. Valencia Orange, then I can check the color code. Repainting the body of one model costs € 135, since we need to disassemble the whole model!"

So... who wants a 1:43 scale 1M model and with which options. ?

He thinks he can make US style lic plates, but he will need a picture of your tag.
