Pre-Sept built cars + Razr V3c
Hi all, I currently have a V710 that works great but I'm lookin to upgrade to the Razr V3c. I've read some threads about people having problems with the razr and I was just wondering if any of the problems were in pre-september built cars?
Thanks

I had the V3C works with bluetooth but my car was build on 01/06. The best thing you could do is ask the phone dealer to test it out their phone before you make the purchase.

I think the key is who your carrier is. For example, I have Verizon and they use verizon s/w to operate the phone, not Motorola's. My phone's menu looks completely different than my friend's who has a cingular V3c.
My Verizon phone was problematic connecting to the car's bluetooth until I had the Progman update to the car. My car's build date was in September. Since the software update, connections have been miraculously perfect. |

The flex contains the visual customisations, which phone options are available, the default parameters of the phone and operator settings. In short it's the version of the Flash which is the important part of the phone bluetooth compatibility-wise. I'd be surprised if different operators phones with their own flexes, but identical flashes had different compatibility. Obviously I dont know the versions of the firmware on the Car and Phone (and I don't know V3C versions anyway) but a pre-september car is likely to need an update. |
