SGM + SHADOWLINE
Pics of my SGM with the Shadoeline Grilles.
Pics aren't great and the car is dirty....whatever...but this will give you all the idea. Thoughts? yes? No?

I think the shadowline grills look the least good on SGM, but they're not terrible. For sure on AW, CR, and TS they will look the best. I have my set already, just waiting for the car.

They do look best on AW. But they are good with SGM because if you have sport that is the ONLY chrome on the car. It just sticks out too much and out of place. If there was chrome around the windows instead of shadow line it would look better. Good choice on the black outs grille. tp 135

Looks great with the shadowline trim of the Sports Package! I agree with Shawshank and losing the one piece of chrome.

Interesting...we are at 4  and 4 not counting me.
Yeah...the coordination with the shadowline window trim was my inspriation. I think that it looks better in person than in the pics also.

the main thing to me is that they look infinitely better with the black/clear euro headlights
i think the shadowline grills look better on every color except cashmere silver. and probably tahiti green (did that ever even get made?) the chrome matches the classiness of the color. otherwise, any color you dont think it would look good on, just imagine with some matching hyperblack/gunmetal wheels (ESP SGM). sorry, but i have the inability to think that every car would look better with dark wheels. and now after reconsidering my own advice, i think it would look damn good on cashmere silver or green or whatever the fuck! but yeah def best on white |

I believe those are real but just not available for the 135i yet. I'm sure if the demand is there a aftermarket company will make some.
You may how ever be able to paint the black kidney white like that one. If I am not mistaken the kidney grill is actually two parts put together.

I like the black grills on SGM. I have my black grills sitting in my room waiting for a car to go on. They are two parts. It feels like they can snap apart easily. Tonight I will see if I can take them apart and take pics. They will be sitting around until mid may so if you want any specific pics of the grill just let me know. I like the all black but think painting the outside of the grill SGM might make it look better. Is it possible to paint these things? Can it be done at home with touch up paint and some kind of primer or needs to be taken to bmw?
Thanks for the pics TP135i. Car looks great!! |
