Dct overheating issues

Hey guys been having a specific problem with my dct that I’ve only read about in very few instances.

When in traffic I’ll get the yellow overheating transmission warning, and if I’m stuck in traffic for a while it will turn to the red overheating warning.

I brought it to the dealer while still under cpo but of course they said they couldn’t repeat it even after I showed them photos. And of course they claimed the mods probably caused it. I asked how my mods would have anything to do with creeping in <5mph traffic and affecting the transmission. No reply.

Well now I’m out of warranty and have had a dct leak that I had taken care of and the tech thought that might be the cause of the issue. It came right back the next time I had 15 minutes of stop and go, and now I’m worried.

Worried that the car I just laid off might need a hugely expensive dct replacement or something. Of course this is so rare there’s no consensus on what’s going on, and anyone else I’ve read about eventually ditched the car before they were stuck with a huge hill. So there’s no known real solution to the problem outside a few who had it replaced under warranty. I don’t beat on tv
He car at all, and often see max of 4-5 lbs boost on a drive, less than stock max boost levels.

Very frustrating as my 335 never had any transmission issues.

Getting close to taking it straight to CarMax before the transmission takes a dump. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

Unfortunately I don’t run mhd. Wondering if maybe it’s the dct cooler as someone else is saying. How would I know?

not sure. I was thinking with MHD at least you would be able to see if the temp is actually climbing up quickly or not. My DCT takes a while to get warm, and when I am driving hard in canyons, the oil temp starts going into the 240 range.
