How long does dealer prep take?

So it looks like my 135i coupe is finally out of Port Kembla (after having gotten off the boat on the 17th of March) and is scheduled to arrive at the dealer today (Wednesday). How long does the dealer prep typically take so when is the earliest I should expect to take delivery?

Which dealer are you going through? I'm still awaiting news on my 123d which arrived on the 19th.

It's one of the Sydney dealers. Will PM you the name (since I have made some comments about their level of service in another thread).

Ha, I'd love to earn $1,000 per hour for their "dealer delivery charge"!

Yup - it's ridiculous! I think they must have had nothing else to do that day. A few hours to rego it, clean it, prep it and get paperwork ready.

Rather pay for fast service than the same amount for slow!

Mine took no longer than 24hrs...

Depends what they have to do to the car, if you ordered paint protection / tint etc etc then its going to take longer.

Just spoke to the dealer today (as usual I had to call him despite leaving a phone message and two e-mails) and the good news is the car is ready today, so I'm going to be picking it up tomorrow. Finally!

Not trying to alarm you, but it can vary, as some cars do get dented in shipping, so these are fixed up before delivery to the customer.

Thats not dealer delivery time....

It takes ages on the boat from Germany (4 weeks +), then it takes at least another 2 weeks on the docks in Aus. Once it clears the docks its into dealer delivery time i think we are talking about here...

Our cars must have been on the same truck to the dealer as mine arrived yesterday and it's available to pick up on Saturday (my first available time). If you go into the garage take a look for my car!

Great news! I take it from your SN that yours is an Alpine White 123d?
