OE brake fluid?

What brake fluid do we have in our cars (OE)? DOT 3 or DOT 4?

I would guess that it's DOT 3. I'm about to switch out the clutch delay valve, but I'm not sure which fluid to add to the reservoir. Thanks!

My dealer told me BMW used DOT-4 brake fluid.

This is what I used when I did my CDV-delete...

For track use, iv always ran Motul RBF660 which is a DOT4. Great pedal consistency and a very high boiling point.
