Catless Pipes causing Engine Light?
Hello everyone,
I am just doing some research on upgrading my factory catted pipes to some catless downpipes. I am fairly uninformed with the understanding of the exhaust but would having catless downpipes cause the engine light to come on? Right now I have Cobb Accessport running Stage 1 map (N54) and I am hoping to bump it up to a stage 2 map with the necessary upgrade. Would the stage 2 map have something written in them to compensate for the lack of Cats in the downpipes? |

Correct, once you upgrade your downpipes and switch to Stage 2 through your Cobb the tune will get rid of the CEL.

It will prevent the CEL from triggering but it will NOT cause the system to be in a "ready state" for OBDII inspection if your state requires it.

I have had this CEL light for years. It was partially remedied when I had a JB4, but is there no permanent fix for it? If you get the BMS DP fix will this put the system in a "Ready State"?
