Sweet pictures, and I'm sure it was great fun. However, is that an 11 year old instructor in the passenger seat? I have never seen that much headroom with a helmet! Seriously, look at the second picture... I'm 5'11" and with the seat all the way down my helmet still touches the roof at times.

Is it possible to get on the track without a helmet? I would love to go but not if I gotta buy one just for a few laps.
I never had to wear one on the Nurburgring.

Not likely. The racing school at Seca might take you for a couple laps, using their helmet.

HOD has a track day Nov. 2. Looks like there is space available, and they rent helmets.
