fark'n M on a diesel, just goes to show the M brand is just that these days a brand nuthin more nuthin less, shit even my 335 has M badges all over it.

The E9x M3 is a great car - I lived with one for two years. Most of my daily driving is stop/start runs of approx 100km a day. If you live in Perth you'll know how crap our peak hours and "freeways" are.
The M3 hits it's straps above 5000 rpm. Up to there it's a bit lame IMHO. On the track it was another story! Two years ago I bought my wife an X5 40d and my response was FAR CANAL! The torque bug bit deep and the rest is history. If the M550d came to Australia.............
