Looks like I'm all set with the CP install but I did have one last question and that was regarding the OEM vacuum hose/BOV connection. I can barely get the OEM vacuum line onto the Tial nipple. I'd say I'm about a 1/4" if that on the nipple. I tried heating up the line for additional movement but this thing isn't budging.
EDIT: I went out today and purchased a larger diameter vacuum hose but I'm not sure if I can pull the OEM hose out of the manifold without damaging something. Any advice? Last edited by TunedM2C; 04-09-2012 at 09:08 AM.. |

As M3 Adjuster will attest, my charge pipe exploded during an autocross this morning. Is the ER pipe still the best aftermarket solution? The stock pipe literally separated just below the clamp, so there was no way to fix it without a replacement part.

Correct, the c-clip is still fastened. As many others have reported, the plastic pipe just doesn't tolerate the boost and simply breaks away.
Thanks for the responses. |
