The AW 135i in Turner Motorsports' booth is ours. The wheels are Forgeline ZX3P. The wheels are very nice and amazingly pretty light for 19" wheels. Quality of the rim and finish is top notch and I personally like the wheel design. Forgeline decided to try something different for the show so they used a white lip with flat black center. Honestly at first when the wheels showed up on the pallet, imagine my surprise. I was like WTF...are you serious? We put it on and still I was skeptical. After driving around for a few days, it grew on me. I slightly like it now. I think this is something not most will like at first, it's different. But eventually after awhile it'll grow on you and it'd actually be nice. I remember a few years ago when people started doing bronze/gold wheels, even I was like WTF but hey now it's mainstream. You never know what you'd be sporting 3 years from now . But seriously though, props to Forgeline for having the balls to try something so different as this.
BTW, I think we may have taken some pictures from Bimmerfest. I will try to get them and post them up. |

I do not know the specifics of the offsets. They told me but I was half awake so I did not remember. I will find out. They're 19" wheels. I believe the wheels were 8" front and 9" rear. I already returned the front rim to Forgeline. I will check the rears which I still have tommorow.
At the show, the car is lowered on coilovers so I do not know the exact drop. I believe they're at about 1" to 1.5" drop from OEM at the show. The rear tires do slightly rub when lowered quite a bit. When there is a pinky gap (about 0.5" drop), they do not rub. Definitely enough space if you roll the fenders which ours was not. As for rim sizes, we were test fitting rims at Mackin Industries (Volk Racing) and they told us max front width that will fit in the fenders with rolling is 8" in the front and 9" in the rear. Again, they told me offset but I was distracted by all the beautiful rims they were putting on the car so I did not remember. |
