Actually, given that you are evil and all, maybe the Emden captain is just showing bmw-tarian instincts: Maybe his cranes can save a few 1-ers if there is another M-Wind mishap!

i think we will be further south tmrw and more in line for the nyc arrival....so we will be rdy for feb 8th arrival...maybe 10th

Looking at the Emden's progress of the last 24 hours, she seems to have averaged 12.4 knots. New York is 2,381 nautical miles from her last reported position, which means eight more days . . . To stay on schedule, unless I have screwed up somewhere, she would have to average 33 knots from here on out.

Not that it matters, as we have 48 days to kill, but it seemed like an earth shattering bit of information while we sit and wait.

Cool, that's news. I haven't found a port schedule for it, just was going by Izzo's expected arrival in NJ on the 8th, and my expected arrival in Charleston on the 10th.

That would also explain the more southern than expected route.

at least you guys are getting your cars on launch date!!! i have to wait until mid-late april. I went and test drove a 335i just to ease my 1er addiction and it made it worse. AHHHH!! What do i do!!!

Don't know that we lost ground, exactly, but I certainly don't understand the track. Price of fuel, I would think the shortest distance between two points is a straight line . . .

He is still well north of Charleston (latitude is probably 32 something), but unless he starts swinging east, I'm thinking we've been hijacked.:eyebulge:
