My Black Devil.
Well I posted a few videos already of my 135i and no pics or thread. So here I go. Got her 10 days ago, 4/17, at BMW of the Main Line (Peter R. you are the man!) in Philadelphia. Yes, I did drive from Philly to Long Island with her and had a great ride! 77*, sunny, and stares coming from all over until I hit 2 hours of rush hour traffic. Car was great to drive home, very comfortable and had gobs of power all over the RPM range as we all already know.
Put the Shadowline grills in 2 days after I got her. Couldn't stand the chrome, and I can't wait to get wheels & tires and some CF. Damn this Mac!!! I can't resize my pics....(photobucket to the rescue!) |

Shadowline grill on black = tasty.
Obnoxious nitpick: get a wheel brush & clean the inside of your rims (see last pic). It doesn't take that long, and it'll give your killer car a bit more of a finished look.

very nice! I hope the shadowline grill looks as nice on the Black Sapphire! How was the installation? I've never done a mod to a car (personally or otherwise) and just don't want to mess anything up (paint, etc) Thanks and congrats!!

Coming to LI were you driving on Northern State/Meadowbrook?
I was driving my A4 Avant and I saw one black 1 there. The only one I have seen on the road yet. I got closer but that black 1 just flew away between the traffic. |

NICE! Congrats Bro!
I like the shadowline grilles on a black car, they didn't look too hot on AW. I'm so jealous of you right now!

slightly OT, but you should be able to resize your pics in the Preview application on your Mac. Just go to the tools menu and choose adjust size. That should let you adjust the physical size of the pics and the file size accordingly. Beautiful car. Totally what I'm looking to get, but with the aluminum interior and 6spd manual. I actually like the stock grill, but to each his own right?! Love the ride man. Congrats!!
just noticed...corneredbeast beat me to it. we Mac users have to stick together! LOL.. |

First thanks everyone! Car is great and was well worth the wait. Hold in there for those of you who don't have it. Soon enough you will feel the same euphoria the rest of us feel. Yes us Mac users need to stick together. If you look closely you can see my previous car I sold to my neighbor across the street. It's in the 4th pic down the white Buick next to the Suburban  just noticed that.
Surprisingly all I used was some Gliptone car wash with a soft sponge. Used a gas-powered leaf blower to dry most of it off, followed with some micro-fiber towels. Best way to have no water spots is a leaf blower. You look like a tool drying your car with it but it works! Will be ordering some wax/other misc. detailing products from Zaino this week. Quote:

I was on Northern state around 3:15-3:30ish this afternoon. I was heading westbound and remember seeing an Audi merge right behind me. Did you get to see me? I was sporting a mohawk this weekend. |

I meant that I saw a black 1 the day you brought her home, not this weekend. |
