Fortunately for you I have some friends who work in the Customs Processing facility in New York. They tell me that right after they finish inspecting your car they'll released it to the BMW Distribution Center. |

Actually it cleared customs a while ago (you can see that on the ship's website).

LOL. You guys are killing me. I got some good news today. The Florida Highway is pulling into Baltimore right now and will be unloading my car in Charleston in 3 more days.
The Performance Center got in touch with me yesterday and I was able to get my delivery date moved up to March 27th from April 13th. So excited. Only 3 more weeks. |

Is it bad that I spend most of my day watching this little green arrow move closer.

I just emailed him this morning asking if there was a way to check on it. North Haven is only probably 2-2.5 hours from NYC so it really should be here by now. Plus its suppoed to be 65 degrees tomorrow.... And good luck with your car today! Last edited by ejm3; 03-07-2012 at 07:38 AM.. |

My car's status on the myBMW site has changed to final prep, so it must be on US soil now!

So, here we are folks live dockside at Point Hueneme. The crowd is milling around in hushed anticipation. The ramp was lowered 15 minutes ago and we are.... Wait a minute! Two cars are coming down the ramp. It's a little hard to see, but yes, it looks like MDPutnam's LeMans Blue Convertable is coming down followed by MPower's black coupe! A cheer comes up from the crowd!
The press is snapping photos, we'll try to get a copy uploaded and.... Here they are: |

Hahahaha... the power of Google Translate... Yep. I bought the car from a dealer in SoCal (where I grew up) but live up north. But I won't be able to get down there until next weekend. Fortunately I took some time off though so I'll be able to crack through that break-in period no problem!
