Sorry, but no way in hell u could run that front wheel with a 245 tire without some serious rubbing, even with more neg camber..

Actually the 8.5" ET 38 fits a 245 or some 255s with camber plates no problem. Without them, yes you would rub. I've run various 245s on the street and track with about -2 degrees and slightly lowered without even the need for a fender roll. Several folks are running 255F 275R Dunlop Star Specs. Sweet wheels.

For the most part those that want these wheels know what they are for. These aren't just BBS looking fancy wheels, these are created by a company called Apex Race Parts... so for racing, hell yes you want -2 camber.
and 255's on the 9" don't rub a bit when you have a good suspension setup. And 245's on the 8.5" with just camber plates and the full stock suspension are running just fine for an autocrosser in California if my memory serves all the details for me. And if you're just driving on the street, yes you don't need any of the above. |

Question: The front offset is et38, but Apex is now selling an et45 for the front. Would the et38 be an issue?

APEX made the ET 45 for those really not looking for as much of a track set up, but wanting to have max rubber in the rear. The ET45 would allow 225s and some 235s in the front to work without rolling the fenders or having camber plates. If you try to go with 245s on the ET 45 wheel, you will rub on the strut side. |

re: 245 S-Drives work fine in the front on an et38
I ran 245x35x18 Yokohama S Drives with no camber plates on an et38 offset and I didn't have "serious rubbing." I ran 275x35x18s in the rear. I only had rubbing when I hit a big pothole, road dip, etc. The camber plates would have alleviated that problem.
