I just got Bilstein HD's installed on the stock sport suspension. I really don't want to spend beyond that on my suspension. I'm hoping the additional power won't make me think otherwise.

Brakes may be a different story. We will see.

I bought a set of 2011 springs from a forum member the plan currently is to use those with Bilstein B6. I also want to install a diff and rear subframe bushings so i might wait and do it all at once. not sure at this point

Actually, Brakes are pretty good in stock form. I just ordered all OE pads, rotors, sensors for front and rear.

The Bilstein HDs are nice. You may want to consider the rear subframe bushings. With the extra power will come an exacerbated unsettled feeling from the rear if pushed too hard exiting corners.

Your right on the shudder coming out of corners. Before I got my Bilsteins, when I powered out of a corner the rear acted choppy/shuddered. After the install that went away completely. They did replace the supporting hardware for the shocks at install last month. Guess I will see after the tune pushes me to 380 HP +...

It's hard waiting for the Mishimoto, but that is the intercooler I want so Im willing to wait. Should all be installed in the next 2 weeks.

I am getting ready to list my HPF (Horsepower Freaks) FMIC for sale, which is PNP. I have had it for 2 years and it works great. I paid 1k for it new in 2013 and I am switching to Stett FMIC that is built specifically for the Z4. The Z4 offers a lot more room and I want to take advantage of it. My HPF is in like new condition. PM me if you are interested.

For those interested in white papers, Cp-e has written a pretty in depth one on the stock intercooler and their intercooler. White paper link in is product description.

Bought the VRSF 5" stepped intercooler. Got tired of waiting for the Mishimoto.
My install is August 5. I'll check back then.

I don't think you'll be disappointed, especially not for the money. I am making a lot of power thanks to PTF and IAT's are great with the VRSF 5".

Thanks for the info dg. What's PTF ? And any more info on your impressions of the VRSF 5" intercooler.. I'd be interested.

oops .. I see PTF is a tune. I'm getting a tune with OE tuning. They will tune for the VRSF also.

Same idea. If you take a look in the thread about PTF E-tune you will see some data logs and can look at intake air temp numbers.

I have a hardcopy of their install instructions that came with my intercooler. It outlines what and where to cut. If you are interested PM me your email and I'll send it.

Got it ,.Got ..got it! installed !
But I picked up the car tonight after work so I only have about 20 miles on the tune so far. I was told to give it a tank of gas for the OE tune to fully adapt. I got on it a bit getting on the highway and it does pull quickly but will need about a tank full to really make a difference/adapt. He said I will know it when it's settled in..

The VRSF intercooler looks good. Professional install and not too in your face flashy. Looks silver behind the lower grill. Just noticable enough to let others know you have one. The mechanic told me he had a do a little cutting to get it in. I dont think he meant the bumper .. but the tubes connecting to it.

I'll have to check back in a week after I run out this tank of fuel. So far so good.
