Pure Stage 2 N55

Starting this thread to show my progress and review of the Pure Stage 2 Turbo being installed on my N55 DCT 135i on March 14th! Stay Tuned!

**Update 3-24-15**
Picked car up from Pure, of course amazing service! I am able to hold 21psi to redline! Have not logged yet and will be going to Dyno soon. Once logs are available I will post them immediately. The power is not something you put in words, it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Here are my Engine mods

2011 DCT 135i
Pure Stage 2
Jb4 w/ Backend Flash
CPE Chargepipe
VRSF 5" FMIC
Fuelit Stage 2 Pump
Meth Injection 50/50
E50 Fuel mix
Turbo Back Exhaust w/ BMS DP

*Update 3/26/2015**
First Logs at 19psi and 20psi. Car pulls EXTREMELY hard, zero misfires and zero transmission slip! Holds power to redline.

Data Zap lets you switch between logs with the drop down on left side.
http://www.datazap.me/u/bmw0bsession...log=0&data=1-4

19psi Log Download
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wnmlvw1b3o...19psi.csv?dl=0

20psi Log Download
https://www.dropbox.com/s/t2ytpawsn6...20psi.csv?dl=0

*Update 4/9/2015**
The capability and top end power of this turbo is ridiculous! Reading the numbers on paper is one thing but driving it is a whole other story. So far zero DCT slip issues! Finally had a chance to dyno! With the help of Terry we tried out a new BEF and the results were amazing! Now, this dyno is at 25psi but I was informed by Terry that there is a Firmware mismatch with my car and I was actually running about 21-22psi during these results. I believe this to be true because in map 2, my indash gauge reads 21psi when in fact it should read 14-16 I believe. I have the new firmware from Terry and I am going back to the dyno soon to get a proper reading. In reality with 25 psi, we should be
around 530rwhp or more =] Enjoy!

Pure Stage 2 (Firmware Mismatch, incorrect boost reading)
494rwhp

I wonder how these turbo upgrades would fair on a 2012+ that can't be flash tuned? even worth the investment when running a JB4? I am subscribing to this thread. I can't wait to see the results!

This is an interesting mod for the DCT cars. I'm hoping to see big top-end power without over stressing the DCT transmission.

Pure told me they are barely installing this unit on a dct car before mine this weekend, not much info yet but I know the Vargas cars are doing well with High Torque Backend Flashes

My friend runs a stage 1 on his 2012, with all supporting mods but no backend, he struggles to hit target. I struggled on my stage 1 until I got the backend flash, gave me the extra push I needed. I hit 19psi with no problems with it installed. Also helped me with minor clutch slip.

DCT is fine with the back end flash, my car has been tuned for over two years and had a stage 2 turbo since May 2014 and it's not slipping at all. I haven't been shy testing it out either (track days, skids, launches etc.).

Good stuff. I just ordered my Stage 2 + inlet pipe last week. I'm curious to see how you tune / fuel it

I think a Stage 2 LPFP is a no brainier given how well it works and how it's a plug and play solution. HPFP, flex-fueled E85 or meth are a whole other kettle of fish.

Not sure if anyone is following progress but BMS just dyno'd their 435i at 536whp/495blft with the stage 2.

Also this was posted yesterday
