Those aren't RFTs, right?
What do folks here do in an emergency when running regular tires without a spare?

The 1M doesn't have RFTs stock. There is a compressor and fix a flat in trunk.

The perfect drop to not mess up the geometry of the car is 13.5 inches in front and 13 for rear.

That is measured from the top of the fender to the middle of the center caps.

How do you arrive at those particular numbers? Did someone do the math on this or is it speculation in the dealership?

That is what KW suggests and what the E46 M3 guys used. It was perfect.

It is considered the best compromise between bump travel and height. That ride height is about ~1.25" lowered or so, and with a 1" shortened shock body like you get with a coilover system, you've only lost .25" of bumptravel.

The KEY thing here is that bumptravel has remained mostly unchanged...... which means that the suspension's overall capacity is the same as OE meaing it can handle the large obstacles you encounter during normal street driving. It

LOL. that's not what I meant to write, stupid iphone. original question was 'how's the airdam? are you having any issues with driveway clearance at that ride height? mine's stock and i'm paranoid about scraping it.'
