Direzza Z1 Star Spec review
I've being driving with these new tires for a week now. Wow! is all I can say.
First the look with the 225 front and 255 rear is just perfect, especially when looking at it from the rear. The grip is awesome and twice as much predictable than with the crappy RFT. They are also much more comfortable over bumps and the overall feeling of the car is greatly improved. I couldn't ask for better tires. And not too $$$. I can't compare with the other brands as it's my first set after the RFT, but I can't see how it could be better! |

How are they in the rain? With those big tread blocks I would expect them to fair so favorably.

the tires are excellent. before these i had a set of BFgoodrich kdw2s and they were very good tires in both dry and wet conditions except they howled like bastards after 6k miles. with 15k already on these tires the tread is in great shape, the noise level is acceptable, and the grip and both wet and dry are awesome. also, from a simultaneous autocross/street setup this is perfect for me. the tread wear isn't so dreadful that you need a separate set of wheels. its a very strong all round tire.

I just got mine on yesterday! What a difference. Granted I haven't driven aggressivly on them yet, the ride is so much different. Less road noise, softer over bumps....
I got 235/40/18 and 255/35/18. I also did the alignment pin removal and got -.8* of camber |

I completely agree! I have 255's in the rear as well... Cant wait to complete the package for my next (4) set, and get some grip up front.

You will not have any issues at all, my car is lowered with H&R Springs on these sizes with stock powdercoated wheels.

I'm a somewhat aggressive driver and am now just starting to get into autocross. Considering these factors how many miles do you you guys think I could get out of a set?

I can get about 150 runs, maybe a little more from Yokohama Advan Neovo AD07's. I think it would be similar on the Dunlops. |

Nobody ever mentions this, but why are the Dunlops so friggin heavy? They weight as much as the run flats.

I've had my tires on for about 3 weeks now. The only time I rubbed was when going over a huge bump near my gfs house. It's only my front tires that have rubbed once. I'll know tomorrow if they rub doing autox

Any update on the rubbing issue? I'm trying to decide between 255/35-18 or 245/35-18 on the rear for my slightly lowered ride. I'll be going with 225/40-18 front.
