First. A 99-04 GT mustang 5 speed is capaple of a very high 13 second 1/4 to a low 14 with a capable driver. The guy in that video was not a capable driver. Period. The mustang should with equal drivers walk the 330i. He beat the driver. An auto 99-04 GT should be a drivers race against a 330i.

Second. Any manual Maxima from 96 on can beat a 96 GT. My last car, an 03 6 speed Max has been known to run low-mid 14's bone stock and the 96 GT couldn't get into the 14's at all stock. They were the slowest of all GT's I believe. Very few of them are still stock because of this. Automatic Maximas till 02(255hp) were all in the 15's and 16's. From 02 on they can hit upper 14's easily and some have done better so don't sleep on those.
+2

The 96-98 GT's are the biggest TURDS and slowest of the GT's. 99-04 are the strongest years and the 05+ are even stronger. Since he is Manual, it will all come down to a drivers race and if he knows how to launch.

Go from about 20-30mph to take the launch out of it....

well, in my opinion, crazy things happen when u start at a hight speed (more than 50-60) iv been in races where i cant believe that the car which won did actually won!!
everybody knows german cars r great at high speeds, they can b less in HP, liters, n have more weight but in the end win against other cars (here technology n mechanics say thier words)

stack, dont forget u were behind him, this means that u were ........ (i dont remember what its called in english), but the u had less friction with air, n it makes big difference at high speeds.

a little off topic here- I was up in the twisties and this car was on my ass. I sped up and it kept tailgating me. I figured he wanted to have some fun so I just took off. After a few minutes I totally owned him. Then he zoom passed me and flashed his lights. I tried keeping up to him but couldnt. He totally owned me that round. Turned out it was a Subaru WRX (new model). It was such an awesome moment.

Since when does FORD offer a power package (326hp) for a 06 Mustang GT? Last I heard they were 300 which is around 265-275rwhp. Don't forget they are pretty heavy also...

I remember about 7 years ago Ford had a bunch of egg on their face after it was announced that the standard Dodge Neon was quicker than the 'stang Cobra in the 1/4 mile by .1 of a second. Mustangs in general are pretty bloated, I've roasted the new 6-er many of times. Lots of mustang rentals up here being abused by the sporty business traveler.

Uh....say again!?!?

No Dodge NEON has ever been quicker "stock" than a Cobra ever.... Unless you are talking about a 94 Cobra -vs- SRT-4 which is kind of pointless considering a 10-model year difference.

Even the weak (recalled) 99 Cobra still ran 13's and the 99 Neon was barely in the 14.9's at the time. That's still over a second difference in the 1/4-mile.

I wouldn't spend that kind of money from the factory for 26HP. You can get a lot more power *aftermarket* for the money....

n pmacino, what E90 u have?? u said u roasted a '06??? the fastest stock E90 cant keep up with '06 mustang n everybody knows that, so unless u have things going under ur car then there must be somthing wrong...

BMW is underestimated slightly. I ran consistant 14.0 and 13.9 in my 330Ci with a 3.46 diff and intake. Stock numbers were 14.7, the fastest time ran in a non ZSP 330Ci coupe was 14.2. My modded mini was running consitantly in the 14.0 and 14.2 range depending on temp. I see myself running low 14's or even a 14.0 Next week at the track. The car seems faster than what BMW states, this is all due to alt. temp. conditions. driver. I beat him fair and square. I posted a vid, I get flamed. Its cool, i know what happen. Next time I will not share it with you guys. Thanks.
You have a modded 330ci. An E46 330ci, STOCK, does not run 14.0-13.9 no where no how. Ah, a modded rear end, ok. But, we're not comparing modded vs. modded are we?

Is you current 330i modded? If not, I doubt you'll hit 14.0 unless you've got a factory freak and your driving skills are such, which they may be.
However, in the general world of 330i with manual, there isn't a 14.0 1/4 to be had.

Yes, you beat HIM fair and square and no one can take that away.
It feels good to beat any driver in any car, but more so when you beat them in a car that others "think" should win.
You're getting flamed because you use modded cars to prove a point on stock vs. stock questions.

Like I said Stock numbers on an e46 330ci were listed about 14.7, My car with a 3.46 diff ran 13.9-14.0 Fastest recorded time for a 330ci manual was 14.2, which is about right. the diff shaves off about .2 seconds from the 1/4 miles. The e90 330 has more power, altho slightly heavier, and also should beable to hit 1/4 mile in 14.2 with a good driver. And yes I do see myself running low 14 flat to low 14 in the e90 because once it gets off the line its quicker than an e46's 330 stock. the E90 like i was saying feels similar to accel as my e46 330ci with a 3.46 diff, which ran the numbers it did.
