An M-Tuned 135i F20-based Hatchback?

http://www.bmwblog.com/2011/11/22/ru...i-with-320-hp/

Not sure how I feel about this...

PS: Don't think this is a repost but it is a couple of days old...

that BMWP F20 looks seriously good. F20 looks a lot better in the flesh than in pics too for what it's worth.....

I have seen it in the flesh - still not a fan of the exterior, the interior on the other hand looks good.

I'm not a fan of the idea that if you want to buy the fastest 135i off the shelf (not including after-market mods) you will need to get the hatchback rather than the coupe...

Also, it moves our cars another step down from the top model in the series - which will have an impact on resale value...

Surely they will put the same engine on the new coupe?

Not worried about the engine... I reckon it'll be an N55 anyway... Can't see them moving back to N54 at this point. The 1M was a special case.

More worried about the fact that on paper it'll be more powerful. And I think it'll be a while before we see an F20-based coupe...

Ah well find a 1M. If anything everyone should be looking forward to the M2.

By then I might be looking at different drive shafts, replacing with light alloy cranks etc...

Agreed. It's either an ///M or not...

I like the idea of a "Performance Edition"... They've done that elsewhere...
