I've got the Performance Exhaust ordered its on the way here. I'm worried about how far it sticks might consider the CF diffuser after the install.

Well to answer the title of this thread, I have regrets, having had my Performance exhaust on for a week now, for me it's spoiled the car,it might not be as loud as some on the market, but it too loud for me and IMO has made my 135 a bit boy racerish.
I realise sound/noise is very subjective and this is just the opinion of one owner, but for me doing the Golf Tee mod was spot on for sound. |

So I actually swapped out the free flow y-pipes for the OEM resonator today, it's now sort of a hybrid performance/oem set up. I have to say though, I love it. The drone is completely gone under about 3000rpm and I get the beefy perf exhaust growl when I really stomp on it. I was getting tired of 17 year olds pulling up next to me and revving their engines because of my droning exhaust note, haha.
It's a good balance and I'd strongly recommend it for anyone looking to cut down on the low rpm drone. Car feels a little slower, but I think that might just be because the exhaust noise isn't as prominent when I accelerate. |
