A lovely day with my 128i
Last Saturday, the love I had for my 128i grew exponentially as I took it for a four hour, adrenaline pumping, heart racing and joy filled drive from the west side of Rochester down to Watkins Glen. The previous night, after working a tiring 11 hour shift, I came home and rushed to wash my car so that it would look pristine the next day. In the morning I woke up at 5:30am, I felt like a child on Christmas morning, tossing and turning in my bed until 6am. At which point I began texting my two other friends who would be going in their own cars, who both were awake and all giddy with excitement also. At 9:30am I picked up my one friend who was going to ride shotgun with me and met the two others at the local garage hosting the fun/cannonball run. In total there were 189 cars riding in the caravan. A 991 911 GT3 in Agate Gray that was dripping sex, other 911's and caymans, two 430 Scuderias, several corvettes, 20+ M3's of which half were E92/90 and etc. Photos belong to a local photographer I never met but happened upon his photos earlier this week. We began our fun run, and initially it was a relaxing cruise to a checkpoint, after which turned into Gran Turismo. Depending on where you were in the caravan, your balls either turned into brass or remained as they were. The 1er decided it didn't want me to be the latter and we ran with the 911's and M3's. The next two and a half hours I felt myself become one with the 128i and it was a prolonged moment that only others who have experienced similar drives can sympathize with. After arriving safely at Watkins Glen, we waited, along with my friend who was driving his BMW 435i, for my other pal who was in his Honda Civic Si...no surprise there XD. Arriving at Watkins Glen for their opening weekend where street cars can run three "paced" laps for $25, we lined up and waited for our turn to tear the track apart in our cars. I recorded the laps in my GoPro and had my two friends in front of me so I can record them also. The Civic in the lead while the 435i was in front of me. Fun starts at 4:20... Wild!!! We all couldn't stop smiling after we were finished and we laughed like little schoolgirls. After the adrenaline tapered away, the exhaustion hit and we drove back home. I tucked the 128i away in the garaged, patted the headlight, smiled at it while I went inside and then soundly slumbered throughout the night. This forum truly deserves to be called 1ADDICTS. I am a 1ADDICT and this was one of the many stories I have with my 128i. Now go and enjoy your 1ers!!!

Nice... Must've been a blast to drive at the Glen.
OT: I noticed the white letters on your tires... Custom?
