Both look good IMHO...

Thx, from the pictures it seems to me that SG looks a little lighter than the SGM, but need to see those side by side in person to better judge. Is it just the colors of the metallic flakes that add this 'illusion'?

I'm surprised Titanium Silver isn't higher up on the list. It was by-far the most popular color for the E46. I guess white is making a resurgence.

I looked at the above post and I'd have to say that in person SGM looks much darker than SG. I think the pics don't show that fact as well.

Either way..............SGM rules

That'sd what I thought as well when seeing them individually(not side by side). Heck, I may visit my dealer just to do a shot of the 2 alongside eachother. LOL

If it were a UK poll the top colour would not be AW, it would be Black Sapphire or Jet Black or Sparkling Graphite without a shadow of a doubt. I think then Le Mans Blue or Montego Blue or Sedona Red would also be high, Titanium Silver is also up there then I think AW and after that Tahiti Green and Monaco Blue and whatever the other ones are.

Sometimes a vase is better left empty.
Every wall doesn't have to have a picture hung on it.
More complex isn't allways better.
& 135's look great in AW.

Not a huge fan of green, perhaps the Tasmanian Green (found on the X6) would look good.

It's nice to know that in addition to the 1er being fairly rare in itself, I get to enjoy the added exclusivity of a Blue Water Metallic 135i!

I did some reasearch and came up with this story from the German newspaper.

Bericht von Lügen - 8-Juli-2008

The purple tint contained in the BMW car color Sparkling Graphite Metallic (SGM), was found to be emitting over 143ppb of Zethane into the atmosphere during the curing process. This was destroying the stratomeglus layer, exposing the German people to excessive levels of UVB rays.

Wowzers extreme, don't know what it is, but we don't want that!

Saw 3 1er coupes yesterday, Black, Sedona and Le Mans, standard for here.
