Where did you buy your OEM BMW Donut with carrier and Roadside kit (jack stand, tools, etc)? How do you secure them in the trunk?

Thanks

I bought them through ECS a while back when I switched to my PSS. I forget what the part numbers are but I may be able to find them somewhere. The tools I keep in the rear footwell behind the drivers seat, fits nicely. As for the spare the BMW bag has straps and 2 carabiners. I purchased two other carabiners and was able to get the straps to fit just perfectly where they can be latched to the tie downs right where the trunk meets the bumper (closest to the opening). It is nice and secure doesn't slide or move around and doesn't take up too much space. Sits flush with the opening and goes about 2/3 the length of the trunk space.

Thanks for the reply. If you ended up trading your car, then shoot me a message if you want to sell them separately.

I saw a very nice blue 135i/is in Manassas today. Looked lowered and had gunmetal wheels I think. Very tastefully done.

Super late to the game, and not very active on the forums, but I am also in the San Mateo area and drive a carbon black 135is. I really don't see many around, did see a gray Dinan'ed one in Burlingame once..

Anyone in the Bay Area with any sort of quad exhaust and/or BMW performance suspension installed? Looking for options and would love to see any in person

With the Z4is leaving shortly and with both the new 2 series and 4 series leaving me cold on their soft driving dynamics.....

I picked up a garage companion for the 135is today - 2013 135 E88 Mineral Grey over Coral, DCT, CPO with 19K miles on it.

After looking all over the country, I found it in my home town of Cleveland, OH and had it shipped to the sunny south. While concerned about the dreaded snow and rock salt, turns out it's pristine, has never seen snow and barely rain.

With the exception of the miserable front plate bracket installed (damn you OH....), it will be perfect as a sunshine driver for years to come! I'd have taken more pics, but it's not so sunny here courtesy of Nate.....

Having turned my 2012 back in, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed driving this car - welcome home!

Tomorrow is the day I will be trading in my 135is. It has been a fun ride over the past 4.5 years and I will truly miss this car. I haven't driven anything over the past couple years that drives or excites me quite like this 1'er. Hopefully I'll be back in the seat someday down the line.

Yes, but there aren't many left out there - this one had a late in-service date (10/1/2013), so it has one more year left on the newer 5 year, unlimited miles program

I would have preferred the old 6 yr/100K mile plan, as we will only put about 5K a year on it. If nothing else, it got me an oil change, brake fluid flush, cabin filter, a bunch of inspections and a new set of tires. Hopefully if there are any issues, they show up in the next 12 months

I’m sorry to hear that. Fortunately I am good through 2019. I have 70,000 more miles I can drive. I will re-assess if I keep it longer. I think I will.

Yeah, BMW followed Benz's lead and went to the 5/unlimited plan, which may work if you are driving big miles like I do on my company Jeep, but not as much when it's a summer only toy.

The sun finally came out today, so I got a better pic - got the front plate off and installed some 3/16" plugs from Lowes with some touch-up paint - not an IS, but shares the garage with one

Does it say that somewhere in writing? That would be what I'd go by.

hmm, apparently this is something newer... I'm looking and it might be plausible. I guess if you're doing private party to private party it transfers. As soon as the car hits a different dealer, it goes away.

Sadly, I got my car through Shift. It was being sold from a BMW dealer with a CPO but the car wouldn't sell there. So they listed it on shift and that's how I got mine. (Only $22k, woot woot) Sadly, CPO was gone with that. Would've been nice... cause the car has been a bit of a lemon in some regards.

Yes, just looked at the paperwork and it’s a $200 fee to transfer.
